Calendula is an incredible herb.
Calendula has been used for centuries to heal wounds and skin conditions. Calendula has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal and immunostimulant properties, which make it good for minor wounds, chafed skin, burns, acne, yeast infections, nappy rashes and other minor irritations. It has recently received some attention for its ability to help women recovering from breast cancer radiation treatment as an effective healer or deterrent of radiation induced dermatitis.
We soak the calendula in oil for a few weeks and then combine it with some other incredible natural healing ingredients such as Shea Butter and Coconut Oil.
I love this oil and use it a lot for bruises (really bad horse bite), burns and cuts.
